WB 15th October – short week – 1/2 term is coming :)

split brain

Before we get into split brain research you would be well advised to work through this power point  – remember to use full screen and slideshow function to benefit from the power point’s features >>>>>  sperry-research-for-blog

It is essential that you are pre-reading your digital text book, and coming to lessons with your new schema already starting to establish.  The lessons are designed to help you make sense of this new material, and to answer the questions that arise as a consequence of learning new concepts relating to this and other topics.

Lesson 1

I handed out your 1/2 term prep – sorry ! >>>Half term prep

Once we finally got the computer and screen working we started to consider the split brain research of Sperry. >>>  Sperry lesson 1

You have a lateralisation of the brain stapled worksheet to read and some questions to answer – ideally this should be done by tomorrow – if it isn’t you will be forgiven. I will need to see it after 1/2 term though- so you had better add it to the 1/2 term homework list.

Today you told me there was a school VLE – my job is to learn how to use it 🙂

Lesson 2

We continued learning about Sperry’s experiment >> Sperry lesson 2 and you completed a grid Sperry grid to consolidate your understanding, and then you did a stepping stone activity.
